Who is LettuceLinks for?
Do you have a web site, host a web forum or message board or run a blog?

If you have a web site with members and content, LettuceLinks is for you. We help you receive commission for purchases generated by your site. LettuceLinks does not add any content to your site - we focus on what's already there.

For example, any links to merchant sites that you have a relationship with that are posted by you or your users will be automatically redirected, even though the original links weren't affiliate trackable links! Then, when your users click through and buy products, you get the commission you deserve. Even when users post their own affiliate links (no one likes that), we'll make sure you get credit.

What if I already have affiliate programs?
Even better. We work with all the popular affiliate programs out there including Amazon Associates, Comission Junction, LinkShare, eBay, Google Affiliates and we are constantly expanding to add other programs. Please contact us if you are an affiliate program manager and are interested in joining.

If you're already an affiliate publisher you're probably familiar with the tediousness of managing all your affiliate links. Stop worrying about your links and start focusing on your content. LettuceLinks can start monetizing all of your links automagically because don't you have better things to do?

How does LettuceLinks work?
LettuceLinks works by adding a single line of code to your web site. From then on, any outgoing links from your site to a merchant with affiliate programs will be automatically tracked and processed by our link engine.

If any of the these links are going to a merchant you are an affiliate of, we'll automatically formulate the correct affiliate link for you and ensure the user ends up in the right place. Any existing affiliate links you might have on your web site will not change... only your outgoing, unaffiliated links will be targeted.

We also provide detailed affiliate analytics to let help you surface merchants your website is already linking to. This helps you discover additional affiliate programs you might not have even been aware of and start monetizing those links.

How much does this cost?
Nothing. You never pay us a single cent. Instead we earn money by taking a small portion (1 out of 5 clicks) of any affiliate traffic we help you harvest and attach our affiliate information. This allows us to provide our service at no charge.

How do I get started?
First, you have to sign up for an account with us. Next you install our harvester script to your website, which is as simple as adding something like Google Analytics to your site. This will start tracking your potentially affiliate traffic immediately.

You can import any existing affiliate programs you may already accounts with like Amazon Associates, Commission Junction, Linkshare and more. Or if you are new to affiliate marketing our advanced affiliate analytics makes it easy to find ideal affiliate programs based directly your websites traffic and we walk you through the process.

LettuceLinks will then automatically turn your regular unaffiliated links into affiliate links for you so you can focus on your website, not affiliate links. Affiliate marketing has never been easier.

What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program is a way of earning money by referring customers to merchants' web sites. Let's say, for example, that you own a web forum and your users are discussing a new movie. If one user posts a link to a store where you can purchase the movie online, you, as the web site owner, can earn commission if users click that link and purchase the movie.

Affiliate programs provide merchants a way to reward you with commission for sending customers their way and generating sales.

What is a network?
A network is a company which provides affiliate program services to merchants. Sometimes merchants run their own affiliate program, like Amazon Associates , for example. However, a majority of the merchants outsource that to someone else. This is where an affiliate network, or just network, comes into play.

Networks manage affiliate programs for a large number of merchants so the merchants can focus on running their business. The major affiliate networks we currently support are Commission Junction, LinkShare and Google Affiliates.

What is a merchant?
A merchant is an online retailer that sells products and services. Some example merchants are Newegg.com, Borders.com, Amazon.com and Orbitz.com, just to name a few. All of these merchants participate in affiliate programs which pay you cash for sending customers their way.

Can I trust LettuceLinks with my affiliate information?
Individual affiliate information is already publically available in any of the affiliated links you've posted on the internet, so there's nothing private or particularly concerning about sharing affiliate IDs.

We do maintain your affiliate relationships so that we can ensure your links are tracked and monetized as appropriate; however, we never store any of your usernames or passwords. We may make this an optional feature in the future if we find this is a popular user ask, but our users would be the first to know of any changes or new options available.

At LettuceLinks we take your privacy very seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy and contact us directly if you have any further questions.

Will the harvester script interfere with other scripts on my page?
We've worked hard to ensure the harvester doesn't override other scripts on your page that you may have previously had installed. However, if you do find an issue, please contact us with additional details so we can do our best to resolve it.

Can I exclude links from the Link Harvester?
Yes, simply put class="noharvest" on those links you'd like the Link Harvester to ignore.

If LettuceLinks is unavailable, will my links still work?
Yes. The harvester script you install, which is hosted on our servers, only modifies your links when the user loads a page. If our servers are unavailable and the script doesn't load, your links work as they did before you installed the harvester. Once our servers become available again, your links will be come lettuce links automatically.
